About the Management
The Nair Service Society, is a social organization registered under the Indian Companies Act and has its Head quarters at Changanacherry. The Secretary, College Central Committee, a division of the N.S.S, is the organizational head of the higher education institutions managed by the N.S.S. The Secretary is vested with the right to appoint the staff, transfer them and also to initiate disciplinary proceedings. The Principal acts as the central coordinating agency that links the management, the staff, the students, the University and the Government. There is a general academic committee to formulate the annual academic calendar in accordance with the university calendar issued every year. The committee monitors all curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities in the campus. The Principal is the chief executive and is assisted by the college council which is an advisory body. At the end of each academic year the Principal makes a detailed appraisal of the performance of the teaching and non teaching staff. The Principal carries out development programmes for the staff with the help and concurrence of the management. Fees – tuition fee, examination fee, and the like – is the chief source of income. It is collected and promptly remitted in the University and government funds in strict accordance with the rules in this regard. The PTA fund collected at the time of admission is utilized for the welfare of the students during their course of study. All financial transactions made by the college are subjected to internal auditing by the management and external auditing by the concerned government bodies.
