ICC 6.0 - An Abstract
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 6.0 started functioning in VTM NSS College in September 2024. It is being led by Dr. V M Anandakumar (Principal), Ms. Arathi Lal B (President ), Dr. Ambili S (Vice President) and Dr. Bindu P. Nair (Convener). IIC has conducted a series of Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, both based on the calendar stipulated by the IIC-Ministry of Education (MoE) and a self-driven calendar designed by the institution. These include a series of Skill Development Programmes and activities to equip the students to establish their own start-ups, awareness programmes about innovation and start-ups to uplift the knowledge of students and faculty members of the institution, skill exhibition programmes to boost the confidence of the students, idea and business plan challenges and collaborative programmes with the involvement of angel investors and representatives from industries. IIC 6.0 obtained financial support from MoE to conduct the Impact Lecture Series and obtained support and guidance by taking part in the Mentor-Mentee scheme. During IIC 6.0, a preincubation centre (IEDC) and an incubation centre were also established in the college. A group of eight faculty members was trained as Innovation Ambassadors of the college.
